Librarian moonlighting as editor/proofreader. In addition to many years working for the Chicago Public Library, I’m a former editor with The Hadley School for the Blind and Bean Soup Times. In my day job, I work in the Social Sciences and History division of Chicago Public Library's Harold Washington Library Center, which means I have a broad knowledge of many subject areas. I have extensive experience editing papers for graduate students in the arts, social sciences & humanities. I also have experience with economics and medical papers, as well as grant proposals. Most of the students for whom I work are not native English speakers. I try to give rapid turnarounds without sacrificing the quality of the work. Prices are somewhat negotiable, but generally the minimum for each double-spaced page is $3.00, max is $6 for specialized editing. If extensive changes are needed, or if you have an extraordinarily large number of pages, we’ll negotiate a mutually acceptable fee. Please send inquiries and documents to this address: email@example.com Payment for any service can be cash, check or through PayPal. If using PayPal, I will ask you to please pay the transaction fee (3.5% of total).
