I’m a former editor with The Hadley School for the Blind and Bean Soup Times. In my day job, I am a senior librarian in the Social Sciences and History division of Chicago Public Library's Harold Washington Library Center, which means I have broad knowledge of many subject areas.
My extensive experience includes editing papers for graduate students in the arts, social sciences & humanities, economics and medicine. I also edit personal and teaching statements for job applications, conference presentations and grant proposals. I give rapid turnarounds without sacrificing the quality of the work. In addition to checking for grammar and typos, I provide suggestions for better phrasing, sentence order and, if desired, presentation. I do not ghostwrite papers. Most students for whom I work are not native English speakers.
Prices are somewhat negotiable, but generally the minimum for each double-spaced page is $3.50, max is $6 for specialized editing. Please send inquiries and documents to this address: firstname.lastname@example.org. Payment for any service can be in cash, by check or through PayPal. If using PayPal, I will ask you to please pay extra to cover the transaction fee (4% of total).
